The Macdonald Stewart Foundation is a Canadian non-profit organization established in 1973 by Montreal philanthropists David and Liliane Stewart. It pursues the endeavours initiated over a century ago by Sir William C. Macdonald, the great businessman and philanthropist. The foundation is attentive to the various needs of the community, working independently or in cooperation with public and private organizations in the areas of education, medicine, culture and Canadian heritage where it has provided major financial assistance to many projects.

La Fondation Macdonald Stewart est un organisme canadien à but non lucratif créé en 1973 par les mécènes David et Liliane Stewart. Elle poursuit une œuvre philanthropique qui a débuté il y a plus d’un siècle avec Sir William C. Macdonald, hommes d’affaires éminent et philanthrope. La Fondation se veut attentive aux besoins divers de la communauté auxquels elle essaie de répondre seule ou en collaboration avec des organismes publics ou de bienfaisance dans le domaine de l’éducation, de la médecine, de la culture et du patrimoine canadien où elle a contribué de façon substantielle à la réalisation de nombreux projets.
