In 1982, a first window was put in place on behalf of the Province of New Brunswick. Entitled – The Epic Story of Île St. Croix, it depicts the first French settlement in Canada and was unveiled by the late Richard Hatfield, Premier of the Province.
A second window was offered in 1983 by Québec City, to mark its 375th anniversary. Entitled –The Founding of Québec City, the window recalls the arrival of Champlain and the permanent settlement by Europeans. It was inaugurated by a former mayor of the city, the late Jean Pelletier.
A third window was sponsored by the French Republic and the regional public authorities and was inaugurated in 1987. Entitled -Tribute to Brouage, it traces the history of the village.
A fourth window was presented in 1991 by the Province of Ontario. Entitled - Recollection, Ontario during New France, the window was created by Toronto artist Stephen Taylor and celebrates the exploration by Champlain of the land which has become Ontario. It was inaugurated by Mr. Bob Rae former Premier of Ontario.
Entitled- Saint-François de Montmorency Laval-, the fifth window was inaugurated in 1994 and shows the various undertakings of the first bishop of Québec in the St-Lawrence Valley and in Louisiana. The window was a private gift of the wife of Nicolas Sollogoub, the Canadian artist from Montreal who created and installed most of the stained-glass windows in the church.
The sixth window was inaugurated in 2001 and was offered by the Province of Québec. Called - Québec, its Past and Future, the work identifies the explorers and events that have shaped its history and pinpoints its abundance of natural resources. It was unveiled by the then Minister of culture of Québec, Mrs. Diane Lemieux.
Entitled - The Origin of Montreal - the seventh window was offered by the City of Montreal in 2008 and illustrates the founding of the city by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve. It was inaugurated by the head of the cultural services of the city, Mrs. Catherine Sévigny.
The eighth window was offered in 2015 by the Macdonald Stewart Foundation as a tribute to Liliane and David M. Stewart who initiated and followed closely the restoration of the church. Entitled –The Venerable Jeanne Mance-, the window depicts the work of the first nurse in New France who founded the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in Montreal. She is considered a cofounder of Montreal with Maisonneuve. The window was inaugurated by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Bruce D. Bolton.
In October of 2017, a ninth window was given by the local memorial committee associated with the restoration and upkeep of the church. Entitled –Marguerite Bourgeois, it recognizes the important contribution of the nun who founded the Notre-Dame Congregation devoted to the education of young girls. The window is the work of the French artist Jean-François Bordenave and was inaugurated by the archbishop of Montreal, Mgr. Christian Lépine.
